The use of the INERO™ Barrier
1. Holding Back the Water
The Inero Barrier is assembled to protect from raising water. It could be assembled to prevent and protect from raising water that is threating buildings, highways, railways, etc.
The Inero Flood Barriers can be assembled on already flooded land. Pumps are then used to dry up already flooded land.
2. On already flooded land
The Inero Flood Barriers can be assembled on already flooded land.
Here is a photo of a trial on a beach at a lake. The barriers are walked out and assembled in the water from behind.
The plastic film is then attached and the weighting chain is rolled down the front face of the barrier to ensure the film is correctly located. When the barrier is completed the water can be pumped from the backside of the barrier to the front side.
3. Controlling water masses
During for example heavy rainfall it happens that water gushes towards unwanted areas, such a property. By building together the Inero barrier it is possible to control a flow of water. The flood barrier can then be assembled ”in dry land” to a chain. Thanks to Ineros unique quick connector it is possible to assemble a strong chain of 10-15 m length. The paired barrier is then carried out and placed into the gushing water masses. In this manner the water can be controlled in one direction or the other, for example to protect a threatened house.
4. Protection of assets against spills
The Inero Flood Barriers are perfect for protection of assets such as remote electrical sub stations and pumping stations.
Here a flood barrier has been used to provide a temporary bund around some liquid storage tanks during a maintenance operation. In the event of a liquid spill, the barrier will contain the spilled liquid to within the bund and hence protect the environment.
Rapid, fast or quick basins for water storage, emergency liquid storage and liquid spills. The basins are quick to assemble in any location.
Using the Inero flood barrier system, a fully watertight liquid storage basin can be transported to site on one or two pallets. The basin is rapidly and easily constructed without need of any tools.
The liquid storage basins can be assembled from any of the Inero barrier models ranging with maximum water or liquid depths of 55 cm, 80 cm, 100 cm, 125 cm, 150 cm and 180 cm using the H55, H80, H100, H125, H150 and H180 barriers respectively. The corner sections complement the barrier sections.
The tanks should be assembled on firm ground but no concrete bases are needed.
The tank panels are shipped flat packed with a maximum of 100 m on a single pallet (of H80). The support legs and polythene membrane are shipped on a second pallet.
For an example a basin of 5 x 10 metres can easily be built from the H125 (depth of 125 centimetres). This basin can contain more than 50,000 litres of liquid. Two people could easily assemble the basin in less than half an hour.
These demountable, rapid assembly liquid storage tanks are easy to store and ship to any site demanding isolation and storage of liquid, for example:
Chemical spills, oils spills, flooding, emergency water storage, fuel spills, or as a testing water tank for new products.
These rapid-assembly tanks simply buy time for the emergency services in the event of a polluting liquid spill.
